Allowed Domains.
Mail Shepherd 3.0 (build 454) · Updated October 21, 2026
On the left are the Domains of Contacts; on the right, your Allowed Domains. A Sweep moves junk from an Allowed Domain out of Junk to your Inbox, marked not junk, instead of moving it to Trash, and Review Junk leaves it off. Mail from your contacts themselves is already handled this way; an Allowed Domain does it for everyone at that domain.
Transcript
- Allowed Domains lists the domains your contacts use.
- Check a domain you always want mail from.
- Click Allow. From now on, a Sweep moves its mail from Junk to your Inbox, instead of to Trash.

- Refresh reads your contacts again.
- The domains your contacts use, with how many contacts use each.
- Allow and Remove move the checked domains.
- Your Allowed Domains.
- + adds a domain you type.
- Search both lists.
- The left list shows the domains your contacts use, subdomains combined, with how many of your contacts’ addresses use each (Contacts). It leaves out shared email providers such as gmail.com, mailing services, and domains you’ve already allowed.
- Check domains, then click Allow or Remove to move them across. Each button shows how many are checked. + beside Allowed Domains adds a domain you type.
- Refresh reads your contacts again; while it reads, it turns into Stop (⌘.). Click a column header to sort by it. The search box filters both lists.
A blocked sender is still blocked, and a more specific Blocked Domain wins (blocking mail.shop.example while allowing shop.example). Without Contacts access, the page is disabled and says “This page requires access to Contacts.” with Open Setup.
